Trailer | STAR TREK: DISCOVERY Season 2

Journey back to the Final Frontier as the second season of STAR TREK: Discovery promises the inclusion of some familiar (and not so familiar) faces when the crew ventures aboard Starfleet’s most famous ship!

At the conclusion of the incredible premiere season of the CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Discovery the crew of the Federation’s experimental ship found themselves traversing the Mirror Universe, preventing an enemy incursion by their extra-dimensional adversaries and returned to a Federation that has been largely invaded by the Klingon Empire. It appears that while the Discovery was away the war has been waged! Just as the ship was preparing to go to warp, the find themselves in the crosshairs of the Enterprise!

Now audiences have gotten a first look as the crews of both ships finally come together. The Enterprise is captained by Christopher Pike (played by Anson Mount, Marvel’s Inhumans) who has decidedly taken control of Discovery and is preparing to warp the ship into its next mission. Sonequa Martin-Green who stars as Discovery’s special attache Michael Burnham, also has an interesting connection to the Enterprise: her foster brother is Mr. Spock, Pike’s science officer and the third in command of the Enterprise.

Although it is apparent that the role of Spock has not yet been cast for Star Trek: Discovery it is inevitable that the famous Vulcan will ultimately play a signifiant role in this season’s arc of the series. Series creator and show runner Alex Kurtzman is promising this season of the subscription-only series will be more light-hearted and return to the space exploration fundamentals of the original, though fans hope it maintains the edge that made it one of the most hyped and exhilarating new series of 2018.

Premiering the first look trailer at San Diego Comic-Con left fans excited for more who cheered the cast on which included cast members confirmed to be returning for another go around of discovery!

The new season of Star Trek: Discovery is set to premiere in January 2019.

Trailer | THE FLASH Season 5

Daddy’s Mystery Girl has been revealed but with the emergence of their future-daughter in the midst comes an entirely new wave of problems including a “big bag” that may be looking to carve the heart out of Team Flash in the trailer for the upcoming new season!

Among the most anticipated moments at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the appearance of the now more robust cast of The Flash which has expanded to include new series regulars Hartley Sawyer who plays Ralph Dibny / The Elongated Man and Jessica Parker Kennedy who was revealed to be none-other than Nora West-Allen, the daughter of Grant Gustin and Candice Patton’s Barry Allen / The Flash and Iris West-Allen. If the series has proven anything it’s that time-travel can be problematic!

So does the arrival of the pair’s future-daughter mean that something is amiss with the future? There must be because Nora admits that she’s made a “terrible mistake” and is now trapped here in the present. The cast were gathered at SDCC to reveal some of the upcoming Season 5’s biggest twists and turns, including the confirmation that the “big bad” will be portrayed by Chris Klein and will be the cult leader Cicada. A merciless murder who steals from the Speed Force with the use of a mystical dagger.

Though the villain was originally intended as a tease in Season 4’s cliffhanger finale, the episode was packed with wrapping up the arc and setting in motion the introduction of Nora, who Barry fears may “Marty McFly herself out of existence” unless they can find a way of getting Nora back to where she’s supposed to be. The trailer also includes Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West / Kid Flash although it was confirmed that the actor declined to return to the show or join the cast of the spin-off DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as was first reported.

Among some of the highlights to be spotlighted in the new trailer, is the fan-favorite Flash ring, which has been hinted would be handed over to Barry (Gustin) ever since it was first revealed in Season 1 as the Reverse-Flash’s favorite mode for concealing his dual-identity. The Flash also stars Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes; Panabaker’s frosty alter-ego Killer Frost will also be further explored next season, as the actress makes her directorial debut decidedly adding to her impressive resume and helming an episode in Season 5.

Trailer | TITANS on DC Universe

As the DC Universe (subscription service) prepares to launch the premiere trailer to the site’s first “Original Series” TITANS brings to life the comics heroes in an unprecedented explosion to lure viewers in!

The New Teen Titans as imagined by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez for the DC Comics Modern Era spawned one of the imprint’s most fabled runs, often giving Marvel Comics direct competitor The Uncanny X-Men a run for their money on the newsstand. When the title was relaunched in the 80s it reintroduced the long-associated sidekicks of the big leaguers as a force to be reckoned with all on their own; the title also introduced some new faces into the face that have since become household names.

A longtime admirer of the original comics, Marv Wolfman had even contributed stories to that series original run, before teaming up with his longtime co-conspirator George Pérez to reunite Robin, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl with the charismatic Changeling, and ally themselves alongside an alien fugitive, a living computer and the daughter of an otherworldly demon. For more than 50 years the Teen Titans have remained a constant presence and one of DC’s most popular commodities.

It’s no surprise then that the Titans have become the anchor to the DC Universe online subscription service which will be launching in the Fall of 2018, and bring with it a multi-faceted library of content never-before available under one umbrella, including all new Original Live-Action and Animated Series. Titans is being produced by Greg Berlanti who also produces the primetime DC line-up for The CW, and had been on the creative’s radar ever since he introduced The Flash a spin-off of the hit that started it all Arrow.

It’s Time to Play

The Titans had originally been acquired as an original series for TNT, and the network held onto the brand only until recently. Once it was clear that the competitive cable network was not going forward with the development of the series, Berlanti scooped it up. Titans had since been announced would be the corner stone of the subscription service that DC was putting together. The trailer for Titans has just been released in conjunction with the DC Universe online experience promoted at San Diego Comic-Con.

In the trailer introducing the Titans the series’ star Brenton Thwaites is seen finally in his role as Dick Grayson, the one-time partner of the Dark Knight detective may have had a falling out with his mentor, but has come to the attention of one mysteriously dark young woman calling herself Raven and played by Teagan Croft. The series will also star Anna Diop and Ryan Potter as the alien Starfire and the Beast Boy with the animal magnetism. The series is co-created by Berlanti and Akiva Goldsman who is also responsible for the successful Star Trek: Discovery.

Almost immediately the fan response has been mixed. The Titans world is markedly darker and grimmer than it’s CW primetime contemporaries, though it is rumored to be connected to the Expanded Cinematic Universe. In fact, the series will spin-off another original series for DC Universe, Doom Patrol and the Justice League’s Cyborg (who is also himself a Titan) is said to inspire the launch of that storyline when the Doom Patrol are introduced within the first season of Titans. Check out the trailer to Titans here:

Titans will premiere in the Fall of 2018 and will be available as part of the full-subscription to the new DC Universe subscription service also launching in the Fall.

SDCC | Ask THE FLASH

At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con fans will have an opportunity to ask the cast of The CW’s THE FLASH questions about the upcoming new season which will expand upon the Flash Family legacy.

In just a week, thousands of fans will descend upon San Diego for the biggest fan convention in the world! San Diego Comic-Con has evolved into the most coveted event of the season, a celebration of all-things in “Geek-dom” that have inspired the popular rise of the comic book, science-fiction and fantasy genre. This year DC will be holding court unveiling its brand new subscription service DC Universe though fans will be gathering to hear about what will be coming up in the fall for their favorite returning CW series including The Flash.

The series starring Grant Gustin and Candice Patton ended its Season 4 with the shocking revelation that the Flash Family have a new addition to the family in the form of a daughter, Nora Allen-West (played by new series regular Jessica Parker Kennedy). After preventing The Thinker from enacting his master plan, the “mystery girl” that had been hiding in plain sight all year long, revealed her identity in the cliffhanger, opening the door to five-months of speculation as to what exactly she may have meant by “made a big mistake”.

Besides time-travel which we know has never proven a good idea in “Flash World” the next season is shaping up to be the first in the long-running adventure series’ run to really dive deep into much of the speedster’s legacy. The announcement that Keiynan Lonsdale will not be returning to either The Flash or DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a regular character in his coveted role as Wally West/Kid Flash has left may fans wondering about the fate of that significant character given Season’s five potential storyline.

Audiences attending The Flash panel at SDCC on Saturday, June 21 will be treated to the first, full gathering of Season Five’s growing cast which has extended to recruit Harley Sawyer who will be joining the team once again as Ralph Dibny/The Elongation Man and rumors have begun to circulate that next year, Iris (Candice Patton) will be introducing Ralph to a colleague, a young woman named “Sue”. Of course igniting great anticipation for another of the DC Comic’s universe greatest love stories between Ralph and Sue.

Can’t get to SDCC this year? The CW is making easy to ask the cast questions via social networking using the hashtag #askCWSDCC all fans have to do is post a question as a video for a chance to be featured on Facebook Live! The Flash returns for a new season in October, along with the entire DC primetime line-up on The CW. #StayTuned
